I watched the Young Victoria  for the first time (I KNOW) a few nights ago. It was pretty good, and the costumes were nice but THE MEN'S CLOTHING?!
I'm still recovering from the swoon.

Striped cravats! Checked wasitcoats! Plaid trousers! (the swoopy hair/ chops combo!)

I want it all.  ALL.

cap from longagocaptures

I love men's costume. I love it so much.

My computer is back! My dad of all people fixed it, and that's saying a lot, since as recently as a year ago, he was still using a pager.

Yes, a pager.

I bought some medium grey wool to day at Joanns since it was fifty percent off thanks to the terrible daffodil dash sale. I say terrible, because its when everybody puts their bitchface on and complains about having to wait in two lines. anyway, I also picked up some light pink and white finely striped cotton from the nursery* section to do a test run of the waist in. I wanted a pink batiste in pink, but of course its Joanns and I will never find it (though I have spotted some online). i saw a plate that used the pink and grey combo and I thought it was way more fun than white and black (let's forget that the plate dated to the earlynineteenth century, not the twentieth) plus I thought the pink would be a good visual cue that Sarah was a teenager in clothes that a lot of people associate with "old ladies".

*computer is still down and I had forgotten how ridiculous the iPod's autocorrect is. for example it corrected nursery to murder. ahh!

whyyyyy

my computer got attacked by a virus today, and luckily my mom says she can get the techs at her work to try and fix it, but that may not happen until mid to late next week. blerg!

I'm really worried that either a, they won't be able to fix it, or b, i'll have to get a new harddrive or something and lose all of my stuff. mostly worried about losing the stuff i've saved for the sarah dress.

wahh.\
ps i'm typing this on my mom's tiny computer that she got from some friend in switzerland, so everything is in german, and it keeps autocorrecting everything. also, i can't figure out any punctuation or shift functions.
