Yes, I'm thinking about Halloween again.
Specifically, I've been thinking about the fact that I, despite the existance of a Joanns Supercenter, probably will not be doing a big-read fun and good- Halloween this year. While this makes me very sad, I just don't think I'll have the time and money this time around. Moreover, I have a big project in mind, and I know I won't be able to make it in time for Halloween.
I'm pretty optimistic about it, since there are other fabric stores up there besides Joanns and Hancocks. My chances of finding good fabrics (IE not having to order them , then have them never arrive and being forced to spend double for a bad replacement) are, jeez, I don't even know. 800%? haha.
By this time last year, I already had all my ideas for the pink/gold gown and had some fabrics bought. As of now, I don't even know what I'd want to do. I certainly do know that I plan to do something simple, so my main bulk of extra money (if I have any at all!) will go to the bigger project. It all really depends on how the atmosphere is up there for Halloween. We shall wait and see.
Anyway, I really need to crack down and make stays. I'm more confident in doing it since I made the pocket hoops and didn't really have any big problems. I'm going to need them regardless of what I make in the future, and it'd be great to have them. What's the worst? I have to start over? Bah. If I don't have a deadline, then there's no worry.
I'm only at the "gathering images" stage, and from what I can tell, there aren't any patterns out there for it, so it may fall through. So, it will just be called "the project" from now on. : -D
How obvious is it that I'm trying to talk myself into things? hahaha. I'm looking into having a big project to work on when I'm up there, since it will be something to occupy my time that's not work-related. Or guy who works at Starbucks across the hall from Hot Topic who commented on my Alexander Hamillton shrinky necklace-related. LOL
Oh yeah, I don't know if I remembered to post, but I found a home for Kitteen, so I won't have to dump her out in the wilderness with my grandma :( My boss is taking her, and she has a cat the same age as Kitteen, so I think she'll be happy there.
