Yes, I'm thinking about Halloween again.

Oh yeah, I don't know if I remembered to post, but I found a home for Kitteen, so I won't have to dump her out in the wilderness with my grandma :(  My boss is taking her, and she has a cat the same age as Kitteen, so I think she'll be happy there.

The Kitten came back this morning!  Who knows where she was, but she wasn't hurt or anything.

I may be a little premature in this, but the Kitten didn't come in last night and hasn't been in all day!  I'm worried that she'll turn up missing.  She rarely is out all day and Kippy has come in several times, which is unusual for her.

:(

On another note, I finally got around to watching Project Runway for this week, and of course, Chris went home. Of course.  My favorites always go home.

Yesterday I actually made it to the movie rental place, but couldn't remember any of the films I've been told I should watch! So I got the Much Ado About Nothing for the Shakespeare Swap that she likes and two Volumes of the first season of Robot Chicken. ahah.

PS, HOLY CRAP Wilson from 'House MD' was in Much Ado About Nothing! I could focus on nothing else.

The kitten is a moron.

When the MA dress was on my dressform, the Kitten used to hide under the skirt.   Then when I took off the dress to use it for something else, she still thought that she could hide under the skirt- even though it wasn't there. She would crouch by the feet of the form, as if no one could see her.
Apparently, she thinks that the form makes her invisible, even when the bottom is clearly exposed, and when it's moved outside.

HAHAHA.
I've decided that she is one of the most unphotogenic cats ever:

I finished this guy last night. I made him a little bit smaller than the first one, since I figure I can fit that into a box better, allowing for a smaller box, and therefore, less shipping.
Here he is next to the original, for size reference.
Jaw shape is muchly similar. Ahhherg, whatever. I'm ready to be done with this swap. I just need to finish up the embroidery shirt, add snaps to the bag and find that twine I bought. Yeah, good luck on that one. Oh yeah and make the other thing.

*dies*

PS, they're showing the ER when Gallant's funeral took place

*sob*

I've yet to watch last night's episode, but the tiny snippet I saw after Scrubs was over, guess what? Abby was drinking again, blahblahblah.
Gah.  Get a new storyline, damn it!

Screeching Osprey and the Helpless Salmon

I still haven't sent my friend's birthday package yet, even though yesterday was her birthday. I did, however, go and pick up a box.  I didn't want to lug all the crap on the bus to get there and not have a  box that fit the posters that I'm sending. Luckily, they had a "shoebox" sized/shaped one, and that worked perfectly. So, hopefully I'll send it tomorrow.  Maybe.

I just got finished watching all the shows I generically Tivo-ed last thrusday (Scrubs, ER).  I had forgotten that NBC was doing their whole "Green Prime Time" bullshit thing that day.  Everyshow in their prime time slots had a "green" or "eco friendly" message and their  peacock guy was, you guessed it, green.  I'm all for fixing the environment, read doing something actually useful like developing an alternative fuel and outlawing SUVS that aren't being used as service vehicles, but having ER scripted to talk about the incondescent light bulbs they've replaced to save energy for the hospital isn't doing anything. Same with America's Next Top Model having an eco bus hauling the girls around.  It's become such a fashion statement to be an "environmentalist".  I predict a backlash to it all in a few years.  I guess it's annoying to me because I've been hearing the Save the Earth thing my whole life, due to where I live, so it being EVERYWHERE is just driving me crazy.  Until you've been hauled out of a tree by the lumber company, or ran around in a "screeching osprey" costume, demonstrating the plight of the "helpless salmon", who is, in actuality, your dormmate wearing a salmon outfit,  you're not an environmental activist. LOL, kidding.

It's almost like the crazy hippies that everyone just ignored have gotten the hipster vote as of late.  I'm saying it again, I predict a backlash.

HAPPY PICTURE!

Even thought they're not accurate, in the least, I've found some possible replacements at the mall during my lunch break today.  The first one is a paire of satin flats that are light pink and quilted.  They're really pretty and $44.  The second option is a pair of maryjane flats that are the exact color of the gold dupioni of the bodice and the'yre only $18.  I'll probably go with those.  I was going to buy them, but we got new Emily the Strange shirts that look JUST like my kitten, so I had to buy it.  Also, I found out that we've started carrying underwear up to juniors size 4X and bras up to 38DD! HOLY SHIT! I snatched up a bra in that size, finally a size that will fit me! EEE!

So, hopefully the gold shoes will be still there when I work next time.  I'm going to Target tonight and I'll check to see what they have, but so far the gold ones are looking pretty good to me, style and price-wise.  Plus in flats, it'll be easier to work in. Heee.

Here's the shirt I got:
