AHHHHHHH.

I'm back! Temporarily...

It turns out I can't get internet in my room directly, but I can if I go into the commons area, so that's fine.  Unfortunatley, my AC adapter for my laptop blew up the first time I tried to plug it in up here. Teh Suxorz.

Everything's fine so far.  I start at Hot Topic next Friday.  I got lost on the bus today and ended up an hour away on the complete otherside of the city and had to ride another hour back to get semi- near home.  The ass kicker is that I was just trying to go to the bank, which is about five miles from where I live.  *facepalm*  The good thing is that with the transfer system up here, I only had to pay once! 

I haven't even begun trying to sort through my friends pages, since I only have about an hour left on my battery, but once I get my new pack, I promise I will.


A bigger update will follow, once I have more power.

I don't know how my internet access is going to be, so I may not be around for a while. I'll probably post something tomorrow, but after that, I'm not sure. So if/when I disappear, that's why.

HOLY SHIT

I HAVEN'T UPDATED FOR THREE DAYS

Get used to it people. I don't know how frequently I'm going to have access once I move. Nothing has been going on that's worth noting. Just blah in general.

I do, however, feel bad about being so absent!

Well, I've gotten all my clothes packed up (except the things I'll need in the coming week), almost all my books and all my patterns packed up.    Next I'm working on digging through all my dad's records and deciding which to take.   He's got over 2000,  so, it's quite a daunting task.  
I know that I definitely want to take my Beatles records,  but it's been such a long time since I've dug through them, I dont' know what else I'll find. 

I have to go into work today to talk to Angie about my transfers and Kitteen.   The manager from Torrid sent an email saying I should come in when I get up there and she'll see what hours she can give me, which is great.  The Torrid job was up in the air.  But, I've yet to hear from the Hot Topic manager.  When I spoke to him last time I was up there, he basically said I was guaranteed a job there, so I'm hoping Angie has all the information.

Well, I got all my clothes (except the stuff for the next two weeks) down to just two and a half boxes.  Waah.  But I see it as getting rid of stuff that's bogging me down  (And a whole closet just for sewing supplies!   !!!!!!!)

The next big thing will be boxing up all my books.   And sewing stuff, but that's mostly all in plasic tubs already.


In other news, I got my Dover Publications order today-  Marie Antoinette paper dolls and a George Washington coloring book! hahah 
They were so cheap, I couldn't say no.  So be prepared for some Washingon embroidery in the future.  :)

I've still got to finish the manatee swap (which I will do right after I get off here).  I'm not interested in it anymore.  My partner didn't really give good answers on the questionaire.  People think they're being easy by giving really generic answers, but it's best to get some specific information.  She didn't even give her favorite color.


Also, I'm going to be gone  Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  I won't be getting on the internet up there.

Yes, I'm thinking about Halloween again.  


Oh yeah, I don't know if I remembered to post, but I found a home for Kitteen, so I won't have to dump her out in the wilderness with my grandma :(  My boss is taking her, and she has a cat the same age as Kitteen, so I think she'll be happy there.

maudelynn and padawansguide are doing this week .  I've really enjoyed looking through theirs and think it looks like fun.

That's how my day has been.  I'm really glad that the Shakespeare and Tudor swaps are done.  Thanks to everyone for their kind comments on them!  : )

Today, my boss and I had an argument with a customer over whether or not  MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. WAS STILL ALIVE.  Yes.  The customer kept insisting that he was still alive.  On the 40th anniversary of his assasination.  

 The American Public School System at work, Ladies and Gentlemen.  Oh, yes.


Eleven days until mah vacation.  It's not really a vacation, but we're going up to find housing.  I'm pretty happy about it.  : D

 

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!  WHEE!


 Guess who else's  birthday is coming up? Oh yeah. Me.
WHEE!  I'm hoping that I get a little bit of money from my grandparents.  It will definitley make up for my LAME small checks lately and boost my moving fund.  Hooray for moving funds!

We were talking about my moving a lot yesterday, and I'm pretty confidant about it.  Really, all that I'm waiting on now is how much money I can save between now and then and if I can get transfered to a Hot Topic or Torrid (hopefully the latter) up north.  I'm looking foreward to going through all my crap and getting rid of a lot of it.   I have such a terrible backlog of shit I don't need, and haven't needed in years!  Ahh!
 I also looked at cell phones.  I hate cell phones with a firey passion, but I'm going to have to get one.  As a testament to my high taste, the ones I liked were all $135 +.  haha.

I will be updating cigarettesfic  today.  Eventually,  anyway.
